Whether you are a teacher leader, a principal, or an aspiring administrator, teacher evaluation skills are critical. A series of online courses – one each on teacher observation, teacher feedback, and teacher growth – help you develop the skills to move ahead in your career while improving student performance. 3 courses, 2 credits each.

School curriculum overall has moved in recent years toward core subjects, but the arts have been shown to improve student performance overall. Our online courses for teachers include courses such as Teaching Geography Through Art, Classroom Music Games, and Teaching Art to Children: Giving Teachers the Tools to Teach Fine Arts; 6 courses, 1 to 3 credits each.

The job description of a coach today requires more than just sports coaching skills; in addition to athletics, a coach must focus on communications skills, character-building, goal-setting, nutrition and athletic performance, diversity, the problem of drug use among athletes, and demonstrated leadership skills. We offer 19 online courses – for 1 to 3 credits each.

Teacher self-care can seem like an oxymoron when you’re spending all your time and effort on the classroom. But the need for health and wellness applies to both you and your students. Explore online courses on social connection, gratitude, life management, mindfulness, and a series of “Life’s Essentials” courses on happiness, compassion, curiosity, resilience, growth, inspiration, and tolerance; 19 courses, from 1 to 3 credits.

Language arts, in all of their complexity, can be a challenge for any teacher. Our online offerings include courses on teaching writing, building literacy, understanding media messages, independent reading, and multiple classes on teaching English Language Learners; 17 courses, 1 to 3 credits

Math anxiety is real, among students and adults. But it needn’t be; it’s usually an issue of needing more instruction, practice and familiarity with different aspects of the topic. We recognize this and created series of online courses that are structured through professional reading. Reports have shown that K-12 schools continually have more vacancies in STEM fields than in any other. Dominican University of California (DominicanCAonline) offers 25 science-focused online courses, covering subject areas of animals to earth sciences to Newton’s Law, electricity, water conservation, and how to plan Next Generation Science Standard teaching units. 1 to 3 credits.

An integrated method of teaching social studies includes history, pivotal events and their cultural impact, economics, anthropology and civics.
