Course Overview:

Drawing from the large appendix of science center activities provided in the course content, construct a variety of learning centers for upper primary through middle school levels that encourage students to independently explore topics in science.  Notes to the teacher in the write up for each center detail how to follow up an activity when all the students have explored that activity.

Course Description:

Construct high interest, hands-on science learning centers for use in upper primary through middle school classrooms.  There are many “ready-to-use” centers on a variety of topics provided in this course from which to choose for construction.

 

Course Objectives:

Construct at least five learning centers for science that will engage students in a variety of interactive explorations, including the collecting of necessary manipulatives and the preparation of other consumable materials as required.

  • Construct five or more science learning centers
  • Collect manipulatives and equipment needed for each center
  • Prepare consumable materials required for each activity
