Course Overview:

AI resources support educators with academic development and assist with everyday management tasks. Students utilize AI to enhance their learning. Provide yourself with background and skills to critically evaluate AI-generated content for instructional use. Discover how to align AI content with standards and best practices for privacy, equity, and digital citizenship. Assessment is key in building confidence for AI to become a teaching and learning partner that can enhance inquiry, creativity, questioning, critical thinking and problem solving.

Course Learning Objectives:

  • Distinguish credible vs. misleading online content and teach students to do the same
  • Integrate age-appropriate AI tools and conversations into lessons
  • Guide students in understanding how AI influences what they see online (recommendation algorithms, deepfakes, bias, etc.)
  • Foster digital citizenship and ethical use of technology
